Demo line, live now: (919) 823-2943

Hear it answer a salon phone.

Riley is the Brody Networks AI receptionist. On this line it answers as Brody Demo Salon, checks a real calendar, books the slot while you are on the phone, and texts you the confirmation. Texting the same number books the same way, by message. Then you can decide whether you want one pointed at your own front desk.

Read this first

Brody Demo Salon is not a real business. There is no salon, no chair, and no stylist. It is a demonstration persona we built so the receptionist has something real to book against. Nothing you book here is an appointment anybody will keep.

About two minutes. Answered live, not a recording.

01 / What this is

The salon is invented. The receptionist is not.

A demonstration line, disclosed as one, on the phone and on this page. Here is exactly which half is made up.

Made upThe salon

Brody Demo Salon

No street address, no chair, no stylist, no owner. The services Riley offers (haircut, color, beard trim, blowout), the prices it quotes, and the hours it works to (Tuesday through Saturday, nine to six Eastern, one chair at a time) are rules we wrote for the demo.

If you book, nobody is expecting you. The appointment is a real calendar entry on a calendar that belongs to a business that does not exist.

Riley, the AI receptionist

Riley is the Brody Networks receptionist product, configured here with a salon persona. Same software, pointed at a demonstration calendar instead of a real one. The configuration is the demo. The receptionist is not. It is answering a real phone number, reading and writing a real Google Calendar, and sending a real text message. Nothing on the call is a recording or a menu tree, and there is no human standing by to take over.

Ask it whether it is an AI and it will tell you yes. It is told on every call that the salon is a demonstration business, so it will not try to talk you into believing otherwise.

02 / Try it

Call the line. Book a slot and watch it work.

Pick a day, ask for a service, and let it run the whole booking. Takes about two minutes, and you can hang up at any point. It is told to read the booking back and wait for a yes before it writes anything, and that is an instruction it follows rather than a lock in the code, so it is a fair thing to test. The call itself is recorded, as Riley tells you when it picks up.

Want to hear it handle a stricter script? The law office demo is on (984) 351-9886.

What happens on the call

Six steps, start to finish.

This is the flow the receptionist follows every time. No hold music, no menu, no voicemail box.

  1. 01 It answers and discloses. The first sentence is "Thanks for calling Brody Demo Salon, this is Riley, on a recorded line." You are told the line is recorded before you say anything.
  2. 02 It asks what you need. Which service, which day, one question at a time, in plain conversation. You can interrupt it and change your mind.
  3. 03 It checks the calendar live. Before it offers you a single time it reads the actual demo salon calendar, so the times it reads out are genuinely open and it will not double book the chair.
  4. 04 It reads the booking back. It takes your first name, repeats the service, day, and time, and waits for you to say yes before it writes anything.
  5. 05 It asks about the text. It checks whether the number you are calling from is a good mobile number for the confirmation. You can give a different one, and it reads that back digit by digit, or you can decline and it books without one.
  6. 06 It books, then it texts. The appointment goes onto the calendar and the confirmation text sends from (919) 823-2943, the same number you dialed. The text is sent while you are still on the line, before Riley reads the finished booking back to you.

If a step fails, it says so. The booking tool will not report a booking that did not happen, and when a text cannot be sent it hands the receptionist those words to say. Whether the receptionist passes them on is an instruction it follows, not a lock in the code, so it is another fair thing to test.

03 / The calendar

The demo book, busy blocks only.

This is the calendar Riley writes to, published here as free and busy only. On this page you can see when the chair is taken and not who took it.

Brody Demo Salon, Eastern time Free and busy only

Sharing on this calendar is set to see only free and busy, which hides details. Appointment titles, first names, and services are not published here, and the caller's phone number is never written onto the appointment in the first place. A booking you make on the line shows up as a plain busy block, the same as every other one. The demo book on the receptionist page is a different, deliberately looser view of the same calendar: it shows a first name and a service, and no phone numbers. This embed shows neither. This is a demonstration line, not a working salon, so quiet months read as an empty grid, which is simply what an empty book looks like.

If your browser blocks third party frames the calendar will not load. That is a browser setting, not a fault on this page, and nothing about the demo depends on it.

04 / Straight answers

The questions a demo line should answer.

Short version: it is a demo, the call is recorded and you are told so, your number is used once, and yes, it is the same product, configured here as a salon.

Is Brody Demo Salon a real salon?

No. It does not exist. It is a demonstration persona built by Brody Networks so you can hear an AI receptionist do the job on a real phone call. Riley is told on every call that it is an AI receptionist and that this salon is a demonstration, and it will say so if you ask whether you are talking to an AI.

Is my call recorded?

Yes, and Riley says so before you say anything. The greeting, in full, is "Thanks for calling Brody Demo Salon, this is Riley, on a recorded line. How can I help you today?" The recording and a transcript of it sit in the voice platform that runs this demo, and they are what we read back when we want to check how the receptionist handled a call.

What happens to my phone number?

It is used once, to send you the demo confirmation text from (919) 823-2943. It is deliberately not written into the calendar appointment, so it never reaches the public calendar on this page. Reply STOP to that text and the messaging platform opts you out of anything further from the line, before the message reaches us at all. If you would rather not get a text at all, say no when Riley offers, and it books without one. Book by text instead and no separate message is sent: the reply in your thread is the confirmation.

Can it be customized for my business?

Yes. That is the product. The rules on this line, the services, the hours, the one chair, and what the receptionist is and is not allowed to say, are written in plain English and pointed at one calendar. For a real business we point the same receptionist at your hours, your services, and the calendar you already run.

Anything else you want to know about how this line handles a call, just ask. The site's privacy policy covers the website itself.
